Commitment
My fear of commitment goes further
than running when someone gets close.
It goes further
than building a wall around my heart.
It means
the heart I wear on my sleeve
is always moving,
too fast to catch,
too fast to bleed.
It means
I don't bother to save contacts.
Unsaved numbers filling up my phone,
so I don't fill the graveyard of contacts
which serves no use but to haunt me.
It means
I don't rely on my phone to remember
because I know
eventually
there will be no need to remember.
Yet
as I fly by,
faster than a gust of wind,
my heart always bleeds.
